How to Get Certified - International Standard Junior Associate

 Join us for a unique, high-intensity, one-week workshop to launch your career to the next level! This is an extraordinary opportunity to study with world-renowned “teacher of teachers,” Diane Jarmolow, who wrote the book on DVIDA certification and preparation. Developed over 20 years’ experience training dance instructors, this condensed course will present a solid system for understanding everything you need to know to complete the DVIDA Professional International Style Standard Junior Associate Exam. The one-week residency experience guarantees full immersion, focus and achievement. It will cover the elements, theory, dancing, teaching methodology, and how to present them in an exam. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers and aspiring professionals to build expertise, credentials, and distinguish themselves in the ballroom dance industry.

Specifics

Who: For highly committed, focused professionals and aspiring professionals who want to become Jr. Associate International Standard certified. Enrollment is limited to 6 students to guarantee a high quality experience.

Prerequisite: Ability to dance the Leader's and Follower's Roles of DVIDA International Style Bronze Figures in:

Waltz (Figures 1-10)
Foxtrot (Figures 1-7)
Tango (Figures 1-7)
Quickstep (Figures 1-8)

What this course covers: Everything you need to know to complete the Jr. Associate DVIDA Professional International Style Standard Exam.

6 Nights' Accomodation: Diane Jarmolow's BDTC has reserved a number of single and double rooms at the Four Points Sheraton Emeryville, January 13 – 20, 2008, which include breakfast. It is across the street from the Allegro Ballroom.


Please call the hotel directly at 510-547-7888 to arrange your accomodation. Be sure to mention the "Ballroom Dance Teacher's College " and to specify the dates you would like to stay in order to secure the group discount. Reservations must be made by December 13, 2007. 

Dinner: Hotel is minutes away from shops and restaurants.

Optional After-hours Practice: Allegro Ballroom would be available both before and after class hours for students interested in additional practice time.
