Christy Coté, Guest Instructor
Christy Coté has been specializing in Argentine Tango for 14 years and is one of
San Francisco's most respected dancers and teachers. She has been featured
by San Francisco’s KVTU's Segment 2 Report, KPIX/Channel 5 Evening
Magazine, Comcast’s Local Edition, The San Francisco Chronicle, and
nationally in Dance Spirit Magazine. Christy is the creator and director of the
Argentine Tango program at San Francisco’s popular Cheryl Burke Dance
www.cherylburkedance.com where she runs a series of classes, workshops,
practicas and milongas. Her teaching method has been published in the
Argentine Tango Manual by Dance Vision www.dancevision.com which is
complimented by a series of 20 instructional DVDs with Christy, along with
George Garcia of Honolulu. Christy’s Argentine Tango Boot Camps
www.tangobootcamp.org draw students from all over the country to learn tango in
a fast paced 13 hour format over 2 days.
Christy is also a founding member of the all female tango company, Tango
Con*Fusión www.tangoconfusion.com. She also performs & teaches regularly
