Diane Jarmolow, the founder and director of Ballroom Dance Teachers College, is a DVIDA National Examiner and the originator of their innovative system of professional certification. She has been teaching Ballroom Dancing since 1978. She is the former owner/director of the Metronome Ballroom, one of the largest and most successful ballroom dance studios in the country. She has trained hundreds of professional dance instructors, including preparing five-time U.S. Champions Victor Veyrasset and Heather Smith, U.S. Champion Olga Forapanova, and current US Smooth Finalists David and Valentina Weise, for their professional exams. Her credentials include a Licentiate Degree in the Ballroom Branch of the United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (USISTD), an Associate Degree in the Latin American Branch of the USISTD, an Associate Degree in the American Branch of the USISTD, and an Associate and Membership Degrees in American Style Ballroom and Latin with the United States Terpsichore Association. She is a fifteen-time winner of the "Top Teacher" award at national competitions. She currently consults and trains studio owners, managers and dancers throughout the United States and internationally.
