Ballroom Dance Teachers College

"Shake off your heavy trance, and leap into a dance,
Such as no mortals use to tread, fit only for Apollo
To play to, for the Moon to lead, And all the Stars to follow."
Francis Beaumont

Box Owners FAQ

Q: I’m looking for an all-inclusive program to teach me how to dance. Will BDTC-in-a-Box help me?
A.: No. The BDTC-in-a-Box is specifically geared towards studio owners or independent teachers who are looking to run their own vocational teacher training program. It is not a “learn-to-dance-in-a-box” program—although that is a good idea!

The BDTC-in-a-Box curriculum is ideally suited for someone interested in running the group class; it is not as useful for individual teachers.
Q: How do I know if I’m qualified to teach the BDTC program?
A: In general, Master Teachers should have been through a professional certification process themselves. This is our model.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: We offer a variety of payment plans and will make it work for your studio. In general, the overall cost of the Box is slightly more than one paying trainee. Studios using the Box are regularly enrolling 10, 15, or even 20 trainees each quarter, year after year after year. All the studios using the Box have been doing so at a profit.

Contact Diane if you are interested in the program, and she can discuss the specific payment arrangements with you in detail.
