Ballroom Dance Teachers College

"Shake off your heavy trance, and leap into a dance,
Such as no mortals use to tread, fit only for Apollo
To play to, for the Moon to lead, And all the Stars to follow."
Francis Beaumont

State Licensing

The BDTC-in-a-Box curriculum has been licensed by the state of Florida as a professional, vocational school; the very first ballroom teacher training program to be licensed in the country. Studios using the BDTC-in-a-Box are in the process of licensing their programs in the state of Virginia, Colorado, and Ohio.

Each state has different licensing requirements and procedures. Some states may require that any vocational school that promises an occupational outcome be licensed with the state. Licensing provides a number of benefits to a studio, including the ability of the trainees to receive government student loans and veteran’s education credits, as well as to transfer course credit from the BDTC teacher training classes to other academic programs.

Please contact us if you are interested in licensing a BDTC-in-a-Box program in your state. We have a number of consultants and experts in the licensing process who will be able to assist you in the process.
