American Style Silver Teacher Training

For each participant to:

• Be completely prepared to take the DVIDA® Silver exams
• Learn exercises to develop and teach strong movement, flexible joints, arm styling, lead and follow, musicality, choreography, use of feet, and more.
• Become comfortable teaching the material by preparing homework assignments to be presented in front of the class
• Learn the easiest way to teach the transition from closed to continuity styling for Waltz and Foxtrot (Silver Smooth)

Other Benefits:

• Silver Teacher Trainees are entitled to free practice, group classes, parties, and workshops at The Block Party in San Francisco.

 

Silver Smooth Session

Learn to dance and teach the 4 Smooth dances at the Silver level using the DVIDA® syllabus.

Dates and Times:
Tuesdays 5-7pm, May 4-December 14, 2010 (8 Months)

Location:
The Block Party Dance Studio, San Francisco

Prerequisite:
Must have completed BDTC’s Bronze program in Smooth or the equivalent (Master Teacher’s approval required)

Tuition:
$275/month 

 

Silver Rhythm Session

Learn to dance and teach the 8 Rhythm dances at the Silver level using the DVIDA® syllabus.

Dates and Times:
Tuesdays 5-7pm, January-August 2011 (8 Months)

Location:
The Block Party Dance Studio, San Francisco

Prerequisite:
Must have completed BDTC’s Bronze program in Rhythm I and Rhythm II or the equivalent (Master Teacher’s approval required)

 

*Each course is its own program, and not a prerequisite for any other. Tuition is charged monthly for each course. You will receive a certificate acknowledging your achievement when you complete each course.
