Ballroom Dance Teachers College

"There are those who dance to the rhythm that is played to them, those who only dance to their own rhythm, and those who don’t dance at all."

Tuition

Tuition is currently $495/month. Please note that tuition will be increased every May to reflect the current market.

Tuition is due the first class of each new month. All trainees are required to have a current credit or debit card on file. We will automatically charge your card on the first of each month, unless you make other arrangements in advance.

There are a variety of ways to pay for the dance teacher training program.

If you choose to take the 16-month program (either the San Francisco or the Emeryville class), the cost is $495/month (for 16 months). This comes out to less that $25 per hour of top level dance instruction.

If you choose to take the accelerated eight-month program and take both the San Francisco and Emeryville classes, the cost is $990/month for eight months.

If you take the intensive four-month program, the cost $990/month (for both evening classes) plus the cost of your private lessons with the master teacher. The private lesson rate will vary from instructor to instructor but is generally around $85 an hour. In addition, you pay $500 per private lesson quarter (one time) to BDTC for the use of the curriculum and materials.

Trainees will also be required to purchase the BDTC Binder ($95) and the DVIDA Syllabus Manuals for each section (available from www.dancevision.com).
